Biografia:
Nato nel 1979, Asif Khan ha studiato architettura alla Bartlett School University College di Londra e ha vinto una borsa di studio all’Architectural Association. Khan ha avviato la sua attività professionale con sede a Londra nel 2007. Lavora trasversalmente ai settori dell’architettura, dell’arte, dell’indistrial design e dell’arredamento, con una attenzione particolare ai progetti che fondono questi campi differenti con soluzioni nuove e inaspettate. I suoi progetti includono i cafés nel West Sussex e a Londra, illuminazioni modulari con l’artista Peter Liversidge, la scultura Catwalk per lo stilista Osman Yousefzada, design tessile per produttori giapponesi, arredi scolastici per paesi in via di sviluppo e una tettoia per l’ombreggiamento per una favela a Recife, Brasile. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto al Salone Del Mobile di Milano del 2009, alla London FashionWeek 2009, a 100% Design Tokyo 2008, e viene frequentemente incluso in svariate pubblicazioni. Asif è attualmente Designer in Residence al Design Museum di Londra, e ha una bambina piccola.

Biography:
Born in 1979, Asif Khan studied Architecture at the Bartlett School, University College London, and earned a full scholarship to the Architectural Association. He set up his own London-based design practice in 2007. He works across the fields of architecture, art, industrial design and furniture, with a particular eye for projects that combine these fields in new and unexpected ways. His designs include cafés in West Sussex and London, modular lighting with artist Peter Liversidge, catwalk sculptures for fashion designer Osman Yousefzada, textile design for traditional Japanese manufacturers, school furniture for developing countries, and a shading canopy produced collaboratively for a favela in Recife, Brazil. His work was shown at the Milan Furniture Fair 2009, London Fashion Week 2009 and 100% Design Tokyo, 2008, and is regularly showcased in numerous publications. He is currently a Designer in Residence at the Design Museum London, and has a baby daughter.
