Biografia:
Nato nel 1959, ha studiato architettura a Firenze per poi laurearsi al Politecnico di Milano. Dal 1985 partecipa alle avanguardie del design italiano, fonda il movimento culturale Bolidismo ed entra a far parte del gruppo Memphis con Ettore Sottsass. Negli stessi anni apre la Iosa Ghini Associati, con sede a Milano e Bologna. Da allora disegna collezioni di oggetti e diventa art director per importanti aziende di design italiane ed estere. La sua evoluzione professionale come architetto matura nella progettazione di spazi architettonici ed espositivi, installazioni culturali e commerciali, nonché nel design di catene di negozi realizzate in tutto il mondo. Tra i progetti principali più recenti si annoverano i Ferrari Store in Europa, Stati Uniti e Asia e vari hotel in Europa nonché gli spazi aeroportuali della compagnia aerea Alitalia.
Biography:
Massimo Iosa Ghini was born in Bologna in 1959 and went on to study Architecture in Florence before graduating from the Politecnico di Milano. Since 1985, he has been at the cutting edge of Italian design, founding the Bolidismo group and joining the Memphis group with Ettore Sottsass. Also in the mid-‘80s, he set up Iosa Ghini Associati, with offices in Bologna and Milan. Since then, he has been designing his own collections, and has served as Art Director for some of the most important Italian and international design companies. His evolution as an architect has seen him move into the design of architectural and exhibition spaces and cultural and commercial installations, as well as the design of chain stores around the world. His most recent high-profile projects include the Ferrari Stores in Europe, the US and Asia, and various hotels in Europe, in addition to the airport spaces of the Alitalia airline.
