Biografia:
Cristiana Giopato, nata a Treviso nel 1978, si trasferisce a Milano e si laurea al Politecnico nel 2002. Si forma presso lo studio Hasuike e con Patricia Urquiola. Tra i suoi progetti: Hula-Hoop, vaso monofiore/wine cooler, prodotto da Industreal, esposto durante il Salone del Mobile 2004, alla Triennale di Milano, a 100%design a Londra e al Tokyo Design Week nel 2004; Sparky, lampada che ha ricevuto il primo premio al concorso Young&Design 2000; Cactus-lo', Appendiabiti/Paravento, progetto selezionato a Young&Design 99. Christopher Coombes, nato a Bristol (UK) nel 1979, si laurea nel 2001 in Industrial Design presso la Brunel University di Londra. Si trasferisce a Milano dove collabora con George Sowden, e Sebastian Bergne. Tra i suoi progetti: Servagon, vassoio, prodotto da Industreal; Throne, portauovo in ceramica, esposto a foodesign durante il Salone del Mobile 2004. Da due anni sviluppano insieme alcuni progetti nel loro studio in cui fondono diverse esperienze professionali.

Biography:
Born in Treviso in 1978, Cristiana Giopato moved to Milan and graduated from the Politecnico in 2002. She began work with the Hasuike practice and with Patricia Urquiola, and her designs include: Hula-Hoop, single-flower vase/wine cooler, made by Industreal and exhibited at the 2004 Milan Furniture Fair, the Triennale di Milano, the 100%design expo in London and the Tokyo Design Week 2004; Sparky, the lamp that received first prize at the Young&Design 2000 competition; and Cactus-lo', the hat stand/screen that was ed at Young&Design 99. Born in Bristol (UK) in 1979, Christopher Coombes graduated in 2001 in Industrial Design from Brunel University, London. Since moving to Milan, he has worked with George Sowden and Sebastian Bergne. His designs include: Servagon, a tray produced by Industreal; and Throne, a ceramic eggcup that was shown at foodesign during the 2004 Furniture Fair. For two years, Giopato & Coombes have been working together in their studio on projects that leverage their wide-ranging professional experience.
