Biografia:
Nato a Milano. Ha frequentato la facoltà di architettura presso il Politecnico di Milano. Dal 1990 al 1999 lavora con Luca Meda come assistente alla realizzazione dell'immagine e del prodotto per Molteni & C. e Dada. Dal 1999 è consulente immagine e sviluppo prodotto per Molteni & C. È art director e designer del Gruppo Camera. Dal 2000 inizia a disegnare per Penta, Molteni & C, GB Ballardini, Takata Industries, Alfredo Salvatori. Dal 2001 inizia la collaborazione con Pitti Living per la realizzazione di allestimenti e mostre e consegue il premio I.Dot per il tavolo Rayon Vert. Nel 2003 assume la direzione artistica di Molteni & C. Dal 2005 viene ampliato lo studio di Milano dove svolge attività di progettazione di interni, architettura, design di prodotto e consulenza d'immagine. Nel 2008 ottiene il Good Design Award 2008 del Chicago Athenaeum per la lampada China e per l’orologio Progetto 6. Nel 2009 ottiene la nomination al Designpreis 2010 in Germania, sempre per l’orologio Progetto 6.

Biography:
Nicola Gallizia was born in Milan, and studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. From 1990 to 1999, he worked with Luca Meda as an assistant on the creation of the corporate image and products of Molteni & C. and Dada. Since 1999, he has been an image consultant and product developer for
Molteni & C. He is also a designer and art director for the Camera Group. In 2000, he started to design for Penta, Molteni & C, GB Ballardini, Takata Industries and Alfredo Salvatori. In 2001, he initiated his collaboration with Pitti Living, focusing on the creation of backs and exhibitions, going on to win the I.Dot prize for the Rayon Vert table. In 2003, he was appointed Art Director at Molteni & C, and in 2005, he expanded his practice in Milan, where he works on the design of interiors, architecture and products, and also provides image consultancy. In 2008, he received the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum for his China lamp and Progetto 6 watch. In 2009, he was nominated for the 2010 Designpreis in Germany, again for the Progetto 6 watch.
