Biografia:
Laureato al Politecnico di Milano, nel 1974 è tra i soci fondatori della Gregotti Associati con cui ha vinto numerosi concorsi di architettura. È stato redattore delle riviste Casabella e Rassegna. Ha progettato allestimenti per importanti sedi museali in Europa, Giappone e Stati Uniti d’America. Ha vinto numerosi premi fra cui il Compasso d’Oro nel 1995, 2001 e 2004; nel 1994 il premio Art Director Club alla Carriera, l’Award for Good Industrial Design da parte dell’Industrie Forum Design di Hannover e l’International Super Yacht Design Award; nel 2006 il Premio Nazionale Ance-In/Arch per un’opera di ristrutturazione edilizia realizzata.
Nel 1998 fonda con Alessandro Colombo lo Studio Cerri & Associati.
Biography:
Pierluigi Cerri graduated from the Politecnico di Milano, and in 1974 he was one of the founding partners of Gregotti Associati. He has edited industry journals Casabella and Rassegna and has designed numerous exhibitions that have been staged in some of the most important museums in Europe, Japan and the US. Over the years, he has scooped numerous awards, including: the Compasso d'Oro award (in 1995, 2001 and 2004); in 1994, he won the Award for Good Industrial Design from the Industrie Forum Design Hanover and the International Super Yacht Design Award; and in 2006, he was awarded the Premio Nazionale Ance-In/Arch for a building renovation project that was subsequently implemented. In 1998, together with Alessandro Colombo, he set up Studio Cerri & Associati.
