Biografia:
Si è laureato nel 2003 alla Spanish University Cardenal Herrera C.E.U. e nel 2007 alla Design Academy di Eindhoven, con i progetti Dream of sand and Pump it up: entrambi hanno riscosso grande attenzione da parte dei professionisti e del pubblico presente. Durante e dopo aver completato i propri studi, ha svolto un tirocinio presso Vincent de Rijk e al Joris Laarman Laboratory. Nacho attualmente lavora con il suo gruppo di collaboratori in una chiesa del ventesimo secolo a Eindhoven, Olanda, dove ha fondato il suo studio. Ha ricevuto il premio Designers of the future nel 2009 dal Design Miami Basel e con la sua Lover’s chair la nomination al Design of the year dal London Design Museum.
Biography:
Nacho Carbonell graduated in 2003 from the Cardenal Herrera C.E.U. University in Spain and in 2007 from the Eindhoven Design Academy, with the projects Dream of Sand and Pump It Up: both of them received major coverage in the media, and were warmly received by both the industry professionals and members of the public who attended the presentation. During and after completing his studies, he served internships at Vincent de Rijk and at the Joris Laarman Laboratory. Nacho currently works with his team in a 20th-century church in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he has established his studio. He received the Designers of the Future award 2009 at Design Miami/Basel and his Lover’s Chair was nominated for the Design of the Year award at the London Design Museum.
