Biografia:
Ha studiato architettura alla Oxford Brookes University e si è laureato alla Bartlett School, University College London, prima di lavorare per Foster and Partners Architects a Hong Kong e a Londra, e come senior designer da Imagination, Londra. Nel 2001 ha fondato Jason Bruges Studio, che lavora su progetti ai confine tra architectural lighting, interaction design e opere d’arte pubblica. La sua opera esplora l’interazione tra il contesto e il pubblico attraverso l’uso di tecnologie altamente creative. I suoi progetti innovativi coinvolgono il pubblico attraverso interventi nell’ambito sociale e mirano a creare consapevolezza ambientale. Biography:
Jason Bruges studied Architecture at Oxford Brookes University and attained his Diploma at The Bartlett School, UCL, before working for Foster and Partners Architects in Hong Kong and London, and as a senior interaction designer at Imagination, London. In 2001, he founded Jason Bruges Studio to work on projects that blur the boundaries between architectural lighting, interaction design and public artwork. His artwork explores interactivity with its surroundings and with the public, through the use of highly imaginative technologies. His innovative projects engage the public via public-realm interventions and aim to raise environmental awareness. Jason Bruges Studio delivers iconic public-realm artwork and executes work that is site-specific, technologically advanced and historically sensitive, augmenting the environment with a beauty of which the observer will be in awe.
