Biografia:
Nato nel 1966,ha studiato Industrial Design alla Central School of Art and Design e al Royal College of Art di Londra, dove si è laureato a pieni voti nel 1990. Ha fondato il suo studio a Londra nel 1990, con una seconda sede a Bologna, in Italia tra il 2000 ed il 2007.Collabora con molti produttori noti a livello internazionale, organizzazioni e gallerie e lavora soprattutto nel design nell’ambito dell’alimentazione, dei prodotti di consumo e dell’arredamento. Il suo lavoro è stato ampiamente pubblicato ed esposto, fa parte delle collezioni permanenti de Museum of Modern Art di New York e del Design Museum di Londra, ed è stato premiato con numerosi riconoscimenti internazionali. Nel corso della sua carriera Sebastian Bergne ha contribuito all’insegnamento del Design a livello universitario e di specializzazione post universitaria presso noti istituti in tutto il mondo. Nel 2008 è stato visiting professor al Royal College of Art di Londra.

Biography:
Born in 1966, Sebastian Bergne studied Industrial Design at the Central School of Art and Design and then at the Royal College of Art in London, graduating in 1990 with distinction. His London studio was established in 1990, followed by a second studio in Bologna, Italy, between 2000 and 2007. He collaborates with many internationally renowned manufacturers, organisations and galleries, working primarily on food-orientated design, consumer products and furniture. His works have been widely published and exhibited, and have been included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum in London. Moreover, he has been the recipient of numerous international design awards. Throughout his career, Bergne has regularly contributed to graduate and postgraduate design education at respected institutions worldwide. In 2008, he was appointed as a visiting professor at the Royal College of Art in London.
