ADI Associazione per il disegno industriale riunisce e rappresenta dal 1956 i principali protagonisti del sistema del design italiano.
In oltre cinquant’anni di attività e di iniziative a favore dei suoi associati e del Sistema Design, l’ADI ha contribuito a porre il design italiano e il Made in Italy all’avanguardia del gusto contemporaneo, acquisendo una riconosciuta leadership internazionale.
Anche grazie alla struttura delle sue 12 Delegazioni territoriali, presenti in ogni regione, ADI conduce un monitoraggio continuo delle tendenze del design italiano attraverso l'Osservatorio permanente del Design, che raccoglie ogni anno i migliori progetti nell'annuario ADI Design Index, preselezione per il triennale Premio Compasso d'Oro: il massimo riconoscimento al merito del progetto, del prodotto, della ricerca di design in Italia.
ADI dà il suo patrocinio a La mano del designer sia per sottolineare il proprio ruolo di collaborazione alla promozione del design attraverso la valorizzazione dei suoi protagonisti-progettisti, sia per sostenere il recupero del patrimonio culturale che il FAI, da sempre, persegue. In questa particolare occasione il recupero si indirizza a quei componenti dell'architettura che contribuiscono a innalzarne il valore complessivo e che hanno molto a che vedere con la progettazione del designer.
From 1956 ADI (Association for Industrial Design) gets togheter and represents the Italian design scene main characters.
In more than 50 years of work, ADI gave its contribute in promoting Italian design and Made in Italy standards. Thanks to this strong and continuing activity, now the Association has an international role and leadership.
ADI monitors new trends through its 12 territorial delegations and the Osservatorio Permanente di Design (Permanent Design Observatory). Every year this laboratory gathers in the ADI Design Index the best design projects. The prize is the first slection for the Compasso d’Oro (Gold Compass) that take place every three years and it’s the most important award in Italy for the project, the product and the design research.
ADI sponsored The Hand of the Designer in order to reassert his role in promoting design across optimizations of designers’ skills and to support FAI (Italian National Trust) in putting to good use cultural heritages. For The Hand of the Designer the recovery is directed to all the single architectural elements that contribute to increase the project value.
